Food Trip

Were were on a food trip when we found this Instagrill, like a Korean restaurant at corner Padre Gomez and Roxas Avenue.  They have a variety of foods with the choices of pork, beef, chicken, and sea foods. They also have the Shabu-shabu style of preparing soup.

Many people queue to wait for their turn at the counter to get their food because "Pay as you Order". While I was in the queue I asked my daughter to look for a table because it's already jump packed so early. I was looking at the fresh sea foods and marinated meat at the counter. Their prices are very affordable.

What excites us was their concept of cooking your own food right on your table.  After you pay your order, the waitress will bring your food at the table together with their portable gas stove, grilling pan, food tong. Then she started to check the stove and switched it on.  We were laughing at first, but then later on we enjoyed grilling our food. We grill and eat until we have consumed all our orders.

The place was cozy and many people are still on queue. I can see the excitement in the faces of the customers cooking their own food.  It was a good experience though. The thrill was there too, checking and turning your food. Turning it every now and then so that it will not burn.

The ladies beside our table are first timers too.  They are looking at the stove and asking one another, how does this thing work? So I looked at them and said, pull down the white switch and then turn on the knob.  Once your grilling pan is hot, you can start grilling your food. Then they burst into laughter and said, thank you Ma'am, it's our first time to use this stove. After that they enjoyed grilling and turning their food.  The experience was fun and exciting and the food was delecious. Definitely we are satisfied with our food trip at Instagrill. Happy tummy!

How about you? Have you been there? Have you tried their shabu-shabu too? Tell me your experience.
