What are the things that we need to consider?
- Save your money instead of brown bags, buying a reusable and washable lunch box instead. There are available mini-coolers, insulated lunch bags and plastic lunch boxes.
- Label their lunch boxes or give them color coding to identify which one is theirs.
- Prepare fresh fruits and cut them into bite size.
- Make sure your containers are just right for the food or sliced fruits to fit in.
- Small containers are advisable because they are light and can fit in their bags.
- To avoid rush in the morning, prepare the sandwich without veggies or fruits in the evening.
- If you wish to put veggies in the sandwich, it’s better to put them in the morning to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
- In the morning, put their lunch boxes on the table and have them pick up their own containers on the table.
Warm and
Cold Foods
·
Use handy thermos for storing hot soup.
·
The thermos can maintain either warm
or cold.
·
Choose a small amount of freezer
packs to help keep things cold and to keep away from any food spoilage. If
you're bothered about condensation, put the freezer packs into plastic bags or wrap
them in aluminum foil. Put the bags in the freezer before bed and they will be
ready to go by morning.
